UNDERAGE DRINKING AND ALCOHOL MISUSE
Alcohol is the most commonly used and abused drug among youth in the United States. Consuming alcohol is more harmful to teens than adults because their brains are still developing throughout adolescence and well into adulthood, risking life-long damage in brain function.

ILLICIT DRUG USE AND YOUTH MARIJUANA USE
Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States by teens as well as adults. Approximately 10% of people who use marijuana develop what is called marijuana use disorder.

YOUTH TOBACCO USE
(E-CIGARETTES AND VAPING)
Nearly all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, contain nicotine. Youth nicotine use can lead to addiction and can harm the developing brain, impacting learning, memory and attention.
